Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 2nd day of September 1997 at the District Court at Opotiki, Lance Foster of 157 Wellington Street, Opotiki, was convicted and sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver’s licence for 12 months’ from the 10th day of March 1998 following his conviction on the 2nd day of September 1997 for an offence of driving whilst disqualified.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge D. C. McKegg, has ordered that a Chrysler Valiant motor vehicle, registration No. EE 548 owned by the above-mentioned defendant, Lance Foster, be forfeited to Her Majesty the Queen, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Opotiki, or a Bailiff of the District Court, Opotiki, by 4 p.m. on the 2nd day of September 1997.

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 29th day of September 1997 at the District Court at Tauranga, Angela Rebecca Irenie Taikato of 79A Waitaha Road, Welcome Bay, Tauranga, was convicted and sentenced to 9 months supervision and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver’s licence for 2 years from 29 September 1997, following her conviction on 29 September 1997, for the offences of refusing to permit specimen of blood to be taken, driving with excess breath alcohol and driving whilst disqualified having previously been disqualified.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge D. C. McKegg has ordered that a Honda Integra motor vehicle, registered No. RP502 owned by the above-mentioned defendant, Angela Rebecca Irenie Taikato, be forfeited to Her Majesty, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Tauranga, or a Bailiff of the District Court, Tauranga, by 5.00 p.m. on the 29th day of September 1997.

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 29th day of September 1997 at the District Court at Tauranga, Paul Wayne Murphy of 23 Sylvanua Drive, Matua, Tauranga, was convicted and fined $800.00 plus Court costs of $95.00 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver’s licence for 9 months from the 7th day of February 1998, following his conviction on the 29th day of September 1997, for the offences of driving with excess breath alcohol, driving whilst disqualified and careless use of a motor vehicle.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge D. C. McKegg has ordered that a Toyota Corolla motor vehicle, registered No. UQ 2959 owned by the above-mentioned defendant, Paul Wayne Murphy, be forfeited to Her Majesty, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Tauranga, or a Bailiff of the District Court, Tauranga, by 5.00 p.m. on the 29th day of September 1997.

Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Waipiro Amendment Notice 1997

Pursuant to section 155 (8) of the Education Act 1989, and to a delegation from the Minister of Education, the Group Manager Kathy Smith, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Waipiro Amendment Notice 1997.

  2. The notice entitled, “Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Waipiro”, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 20 June 1996, No. 63, page 1508, is hereby amended by revoking clause 5 and substituting the following clause:

“5. Constitution of the Board of Trustees—The board of trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Waipiro, shall comprise:

(a) Five elected parent representatives

(b) The principal

(c) A staff representative

(d) Not more than four persons co-opted by the board.”

  1. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreements

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:

  • St Francis Xavier School, Whangarei; and
  • Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School, Epsom.

The said supplementary integration agreements were signed on 25 September 1997.
