Casino Control Authority
Casino Control Act 1990
Rules of Casino Table Games, Amendment No. 7
Pursuant to section 63 of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority on 23 September 1997 resolved that, with effect from the date of the publication of this notification in the New Zealand Gazette:

The game of Midi Baccarat be approved to be conducted and played in the licensed casino at 30β38 Victoria Street, Christchurch.

The Rules of Casino Table Games approved to be conducted and played in the casino referred to above, as set out in the Supplement dated 26 January 1996 to the New Zealand Gazette of 25 January 1996, and as subsequently amended by notices in the editions of the New Zealand Gazette of 22 February 1996, 4 April 1996, 11 July 1996, 24 October 1996, 12 December 1996 and 13 March 1997, as applicable, be approved as the rules for the game.

Approval of Defensive Driving Organisations
Pursuant to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962 and section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, under powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 23rd day of December 1996, I, Alan Woodside, Group Manager, Safer People and Operators, hereby approve the following organisation for the purposes of section 68 (1) (b) of the Transport Act 1962 and regulations 11 (1) (b) (i) and 32 (2) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987:

Traffic Regulations 1976
The Traffic (Hurunui District) Notice 1997
Pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand, dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:
Notice
(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hurunui District) Notice 1997.
(2) The sections of road specified in the Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas.
(3) This notice may be revoked at any time.
Schedule
SITUATED within Hurunui District at Amberley:
Douglas Road: From a point 300 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from Lawcocks Road to a point 1100 metres measured north-westerly, generally along the said road from Lawcocks Road.
SITUATED within Hurunui District at Hanmer Springs:
Argelins Road: From Jacks Pass Road to a point 500 metres measured southerly, generally, along the said road from Jacks Pass Road.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976
Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Barry Edward Crocker, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.
