2954 NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE No. 125

7.2 No licence holder shall fish from a boat on Lake Kirkpatrick.

7.3 Trolling from a mechanically propelled boat on any lake within 100 metres of any person fishing from the shore is prohibited.

7.4 Trolling from any boat in any river or stream is prohibited except on: the Taieri River downstream from Henley Ferry bridge the Clutha River downstream from Balclutha.

8. Daily Limit Bags

8.1 Perch—all waters

8.2 Salmon—down stream of Roxborough

Dam and all coastal rivers

8.3 Lake Onslow
Lake McKellar
Lake Sylvan

8.4 Catch and Release
Sports fish caught within the following waters must be immediately released into the water from which it has been taken:

Lochy River special catch and release zone (being that portion of the river from its source to its confluence with the Longburn and including the Longburn)
Routburn River

8.5 The daily limit bag for rivers and tributaries flowing into the following waters shall be one sports fish;

Lake Hawea
Lake Wanaka
Lake Wakatipu, (but excluding the special catch and release zones)
Upper Fraser River
Nevis River
Southern Reservoir
Sullivans Dam
Von Lake

8.6 The daily limit bag, other than for perch, in the following waters and their tributaries shall be three sports fish

Blakelys Dam
Coalpit Dam
Diamond Lake
Hoffmans Dam
Lake Johnson:
Lake Kirkpatrick
Mathias Dam
Pomahaka River upstream from Park Hill Bridge
Reid Lake
Rutherfords Dam
Upper Tomahawk Lagoon

8.7 Subject to the restrictions set out above, no person shall on any one day take or kill or be in possession of more than six sports fish, other than perch, per day.

9. Minimum Length

Trout
In the case of any trout taken from the Water of Leith and Teviot River
In the case of trout for Lakes Onslow, McKellar and Sylvan
Any other water

Salmon
In the case of salmon taken from the Water of Leith
Any other water

Perch
In no limit areas, all fish taken must be removed from the lake margins.

11. Revocation

The notice published in the supplement to the Gazette, No. 100 of 2 September 1996, on page 2614, titled Anglers (Otago Fish and Game Region) Notice 1996, is revoked.
