Pursuant to section 52 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, to be set apart for a historic reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977.

Land Acquired for Reserves in Whakatane District

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for recreation reserves, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for a local purpose (plantation) reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and further declares that the land in both Schedules shall vest in The Whakatane District Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
