Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands, declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for road and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Pursuant to Part VIII of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Crown Property Officer, Land Information New Zealand, Napier:

(a) Pursuant to section 114 (1), declares the land described in the First Schedule to be road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, forms part of State Highway No. 2.

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 (1) and 117 (3), declares the road described in the Second Schedule (now known as Section 2, S.O. 10677) to be stopped and amalgamated in certificate of title P2/109.

Pursuant to section 55 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands hereby amends the following:

(a) The notice dated 15 July 1996, published in the New Zealand Gazette on 18 July 1996, No. 73 at page 1834, by changing the title reference for the land described from H3/1135 to H3/1145.

(b) The notice dated 26 July 1996, published in the New Zealand Gazette on 1 August 1996, No. 78 at page 2031, by changing the area of the land first described from 26 m² to 14 m².
