The Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1996

Pursuant to section 104 (2) (a) of the Electoral Act 1993, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

1. Title—This order may be cited as the Electoral Main Rolls Closing Order 1996.

2. Date for closing of main rolls—The main roll for every General electoral district and for every Maori electoral district shall close on the 21st day of June 1996.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

As part of the Roll Revision exercise, this order closes, as at 21 June 1996, the main rolls for all electoral districts. This enables the main rolls to be printed and published as at that date. They will then be available to the public for checking.

The making of this order does not preclude—

(a) The making of a subsequent order later in 1996 closer to the date of the expiration of the present Parliament; or

(b) The printing of a composite roll as at writ day.

Conservation

Reserves Act 1977

Classification and Naming of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Manager (Protection), Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977, and further declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Rangitahiwhiri Scenic Reserve.

1,5326 hectares, more or less, being part Allotment 18, Parish of Aotea, situated in Block VI, Tryphena Survey District. Shown marked “B” on S.O. 66732. Part certificate of title 9A/652 Ltd. Part New Zealand Gazette 1993, page 2633.

Declaration That Land is Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by The Auckland City Council on the 1st day of December 1995:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Auckland City Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said council in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

Revocation of a Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Wellington City Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
