Securities Act 1978

The Authorised Life Insurance Companies Notice (No. 3) 1996

Pursuant to the Securities Act 1978, the Securities Commission gives the following notice:

Notice

1. Title and commencement and expiry—(1) This notice may be cited as the Authorised Life Insurance Companies Notice (No. 3) 1996.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1996.

(3) This notice shall expire with the close of the 30th day of April 1997.

2. Interpretation—(1) In this notice “the Act” means the Securities Act 1978.

(2) Any term or expression which is not defined in this notice, but which is defined in the Act, shall have the meaning given to it by the Act.

3. Authorised life insurance companies—Each life insurance company named in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be an authorised life insurance company for the purposes of the Act in respect of all life insurance policies issued by that company.

The information required to be published by Telecom under the Telecommunications (Disclosure) Regulations 1990, for the quarter ended 31 March 1996 is available, as from 30 April 1996, on request by any person, at the principal offices of Telecom in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Reservation of Land

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto, for recreation reserve purposes, subject to the Reserves Act 1977.

Schedule

166.7741 hectares, more or less, being Crown land, situated in Blocks II and III, Tryphena Survey District. Shown marked “E” on S.O. 66796. Part Gazette notice No. 736466.1, 899869.1 (part New Zealand Gazette, 1978, page 3134).

Queenstown Reserves Vesting and Empowering Act 1971

Declaration That Land Shall Vest in The Queenstown-Lakes District Council and Proceeds to be Paid into Queenstown Reserves Sales Account

Pursuant to the Queenstown Reserves Vesting and Empowering Act 1971, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, shall vest as an estate in fee simple in the mayor, councillors and citizens of the district of Queenstown-Lakes, and further declares that all money received by the council on the sale or lease of the said land shall, in accordance with the said Act, be paid by the council into a separate account, known as the Queenstown Reserves Sales Account.
