Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977

Permission to Conduct Within New Zealand a Lottery Conducted Outside New Zealand

Pursuant to Section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Peter Dunne, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit Valvoline Australia Pty Limited to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion to promote the sales of car maintenance products.

Conditions

The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:

(1) Valvoline Australia Pty Limited will not conduct the lottery within New Zealand after 31 July 1996.

(2) The results of the lottery will be published in the Sunday Star Times on 11 August 1996.

(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any disadvantage as a result of winning a prize. All freight, customs, handling and delivery charges and any insurance costs to cover theft or damage to prizes coming from outside New Zealand will be met by Valvoline Australia Pty Limited.

(4) A New Zealand participant shall have a chance of winning which is equivalent to that of an overseas participant.
