AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND CLOSER ECONOMIC RELATIONS TRADE AGREEMENT

Application for the Approval of Goods as Determined

Imported Materials - Notice 1995/7

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made for the approval of the goods, described in the Schedule hereto, as determined import materials in accordance with Australian legislation relating to the rules governing the origin of goods “wholly manufactured”.

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to New Zealand determining this application, should do so in writing on or before 31 January 1996. Submissions should include a reference to the application number, tariff item, and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Box 2218, Wellington, for attention of the Director, Trade & Business Facilitation, and be supported by information as to the quality, range, supply, etc., of the goods or suitable alternative goods produced in New Zealand.

SCHEDULE

1995/22 3920.20.05 Polypropylene Homopolymer Film, biaxially oriented, having ALL of the following properties:
(a) maximum elongation at break NOT exceeding 180% machine direction as measured by ASTM D882;
(b) corona treated one side to a minimum of 36 dynes as measured by ASTM D2578;
(c) co efficient of friction of NOT less than 0.4 measured by ASTM D1894;
(d) width NOT less than 740 mm but NOT exceeding 1500 mm;
(e) thickness gauges NOT less than 25 micron but NOT exceeding 50 micron; but NOT including film which is:
(i) voided;
(ii) printed;
(iii) coated;
(iv) metallised or metallisable;
(v) heat sealable;
(vi) containing slip additives;
(vii) containing anti static additives.
