Pursuant to section 44A of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs hereby gives notice that it has published its annual report for the year ended 30 June 1996, containing its financial statements, audit report and statement of responsibility for the same period.

Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Act 1992

Service Agreement

Pursuant to section 159AA of the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Act 1992 ("the Act"), the Minister for Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance entered into a service agreement with the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Corporation on 20 November 1996. The service agreement applies to the period from 1 July 1996 until 30 June 1999.

Under section 159AA (6) of the Act, the Minister for Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance is required to lay a copy of the agreement before the House of Representatives within 10 days of entering into the agreement. As the House is not currently sitting, it is not practicable to comply with this requirement.

Copies of the agreement have been lodged with the Bills Office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington.
