Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1979

Elected Producers’ Representatives on the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee (Notice No. 1022)

Pursuant to clause 20 of the Second Schedule to the Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1979, notice is hereby given that, in respect of the South Ward, only 2 persons were nominated as producers’ representatives to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee, I hereby declare:

Nigel C. Warnes, grower of Tadmor in South Ward

Bruce F. Moffitt, grower of Tapawera in the South Ward

being the persons nominated to be duly elected as producers’ representatives in the South Ward.

Pursuant to clause 34 of the Second Schedule to the Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1979, notice is hereby given that as, in respect of the North Ward, 3 persons were nominated for election as producers’ representatives to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee, a poll was taken.

The votes received by each candidate are listed below:

Graham R. Smeaton, grower of Lower Moutere in the North Ward (7 votes)

Kevin W. Palmer, grower of Lower Moutere in the North Ward (5 votes)

Owen J. Pope, grower of Upper Moutere in the North Ward (4 votes)

Accordingly, I declare Graham R. Smeaton and Kevin W. Palmer to be elected as producers’ representatives in the North Ward for the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee.
