Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How the
Proceeds From Sale Shall be Utilised
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Northland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares the said land may be disposed of by the Whangarei District Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council.

4985 square metres, more or less, being Lot 8, D.P. 150833, situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Northland Conservancy, Department of Conservation hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Whangarei District Council on the 28th day of February 1996.
“That, in the exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Whangarei District Council hereby resolves that the piece of land vested in the said council in fee-simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby, declared to be a recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

4375 square metres, more or less, being part Lot 13, D.P. 108552 and part Lot 8, D.P. 150833, more particularly shown as Lot 2, L.T. 172767, situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District.

Change of Classification of a Reserve
Pursuant to section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator for the Department of Conservation in the Southland Conservancy, hereby changes the classification of the land described in the Schedule, from a local purpose reserve (site for an athenaeum and council offices) to local purpose reserve (community centre), subject to the provisions of section 23 of the said Act.
