Notification of Amendment to Material Incorporated by Reference

Pursuant to section 36 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 I, Kevin William Ward, Director of Civil Aviation, hereby give notice that Addendum No. 2 to the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (Doc 9284–AN/905; 1995–1996) dated 26 July 1996—

(a) shall take effect on 13 October 1996; and

(b) is available for inspection at the Head Office of the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulation 78 (1) (a) and (b) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

The Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice No. 4, 1996

Pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962, and to a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:

N o t i c e

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice No. 4, 1996.

(2) The roads and section of road specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.

First Schedule

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Whangaruru North:

Whangaruru North Road: from a point 100 metres measured westerly generally along said road from Whakaturia Avenue to a point on said road 750 metres measured easterly generally from Ngatiwai Place.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulation 29 (1) (c) of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

Any factory built Mazda 323 convertible on which the structure of the convertible top and mechanism is such that it is impractic to fit three point lap and diagonal seatbelts to the outer rear seat positions.
