AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND CLOSER ECONOMIC RELATIONS TRADE AGREEMENT
RULES OF ORIGIN - DETERMINATION OF IMPORTED MATERIALS
NOTICE 1996/1
In terms of Regulation 70A(1)(b)(iii) of the Customs Regulations 1968, “Goods Wholly Manufactured in Australia”, the following materials have been determined:
Polypropylene Homopolymer Film, biaxially oriented, having ALL of the following properties:
(a) maximum elongation at break NOT exceeding 180% machine direction as measured by ASTM D882;
(b) corona treated one side to a minimum of 36 dynes as measured by ASTM D2578;
(c) co efficient of friction of NOT less than 0.4 measured by ASTM D1894;
(d) width NOT less than 740 mm but NOT exceeding 1500 mm;
(e) thickness gauges NOT less than 25 micron but NOT exceeding 50 micron; but NOT including film which is:
(i) voided;
(ii) printed;
(iii) coated;
(iv) metallised or metalliseable;
(v) heat sealable;
(vi) containing slip additives;
(vii) containing anti static additives.
This determination is effective from 31 January 1996.
