Approval of Defensive Driving Organisation

Pursuant to section 39 (a) of the Transport Act 1962 and section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986; under powers delegated to me by the Acting Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 16th day of October 1995; I, Roy Harold Hitchcock, Compliance Officer, Safer People and Operators, hereby approve the following organisation for the purposes of section 68 (1) (b) of the Transport Act 1962 and regulations 11 (1) (b) (i) and 32 (2) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987:

Streets Ahead Defensive Driving, Auckland.

The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1, 1996

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and under and by way of an instrument of delegation from the Minister to the Secretary for Transport, dated the 31st day of August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Acting Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1, 1996.

It is hereby declared that those localities and roads within markings identified in the Legend of and appearing on plans numbered TTP518/1, entitled “Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horsham Downs, Matangi, near Raglan, near Tamahere, Scotsman Valley, Tamahere, Te Kowhai” and TTP518/2, entitled “Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Huntly, Ngaruawahia, near Raglan, Rotokauri, Te Mata” and TTP518/3, entitled “Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horotiu, Raglan, Rotowaro, Taupiri, Te Rapa Dairy Factory, Whatawhata” and held at the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are to be closely populated localities, 70 km/h speed limit areas, limited speed zones or to be excluded from the limitations as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, as may be ascertained from the Legends. The said plans and Legends are hereby incorporated in this notice.

Pursuant to section 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, the following notices are revoked:

  1. The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1, 1993, signed at Wellington on the 3rd day of March 1993, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

  2. The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1, 1991, signed at Wellington on the 10th day of May 1991, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

  3. The Traffic (Ngaruawahia Borough and Waikato County) Notice No. 1, 1985, signed at Wellington on the 20th day of May 1985, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

  4. Notice of closely populated locality declared (Waikato County adjacent to Ngaruawahia Borough) signed at Wellington on the 13th day of January 1966, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  5. Notice of closely populated locality declared (Waikato County adjacent to Ngaruawahia Borough) signed at Wellington on the 8th day of April 1964, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  6. The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1, 1990, signed at Wellington on the 3rd day of September 1990, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (North Shore City) Notice No. 1, 1996

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and under and by way of powers delegated to the Secretary for Transport by an instrument of delegation dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Acting Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (North Shore City) Notice No. 1, 1996.

That part of the road specified in the Schedule is excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962.

That part of the Traffic (North Shore City) Notice No. 1*, signed at Wellington on the 23rd day of October 1990, issued pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, which relates to that part of the road named in the Schedule below, is revoked pursuant to section 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within North Shore City at Albany:

Spencer Road: From the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui to Bluff) to a point 100 metres measured westerly, generally, along Spencer Road from Ariranu Rise.
