Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commander John Edward Robert Granville, DIP.STRAT.STUD., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN in the rank of Captain, with effect from 15 February 1996.

Acting Captain M.N. Franklin, B.A., to be Captain with seniority from 1 August 1995 and effect from 22 December 1995.

The following are placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserve with effect from the date shown:
