Her Excellency the Governor-General in Council

WHEREAS

(1) By Order in Council dated 16 May 1988 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 89, 1988 at page 2166, the J M Barker (Hapupu) Historic Reserve, as described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council, was purportedly declared to be a national reserve pursuant to section 13 of the Reserves Act 1977, but had not then been classified pursuant to section 16 of the said Act, as required by the said section 13.

(2) The said reserve has since been classified under the said section 16 as an historic reserve.

(3) It is desirable that doubt as to the status of the said reserve be removed.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Reserves Act 1977, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares the said historic reserve as described in the Schedule hereto to be a national reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Change of the Name of the Rangiaka Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to section 16 (10) of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby declares that the Rangiaka Scenic Reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, shall hereafter be known as the Thomas Mohi Tuuta (Rangiaka) Scenic Reserve.
