Pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Patents Act 1953, and section 10 (2) of the Designs Act 1953, I, Dame Catherine Anne Tizard, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby declare the IPENZ Conference Engineering and Technology Expo to be held at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand from Saturday, the 10th day of February 1996 to Tuesday, the 13th day of February 1996 inclusive, to be an Industrial Exhibition for the purposes of said Acts.

Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985, notice is hereby given that Donald Millar (also known as Danny Donald Millar), pensioner of 47A Fitzroy Road, New Plymouth, was convicted of a charge of excess breath alcohol in the District Court at New Plymouth on the 25th of January 1996.

An order for confiscation of a motor vehicle, namely a Ford Cortina motorcar, registered No. IT 4310 was made.

The Court sittings Schedule for 1996, as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 26 October 1995, No. 122, page 3771 for Taitokerau (Whangarei) being the dates as set out in the Schedule thereto, is hereby amended by deleting those dates as set out in the First Schedule hereto, and substituting in lieu thereof, those dates as described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Pursuant to section 28ZG of the Fisheries Act 1983, and a delegation made pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Policy Manager North hereby gives the following notice.

N o t i c e

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Bycatch Trade-off) Notice (No. 1) 1996.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on the 8th day of February 1996, and shall expire on the 15th day of April 1996.

2. Interpretation—In this notice:

(a) Any reference to Quota Management Area means the appropriate Quota Management Area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches and Catch Histories) Notice 1986*;
