Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes.

Cancellation of the Vesting in The Stratford District Council of a Reserve

WHEREAS

(a) By Order in Council dated 2 November 1955, the districts of the County of Whangamomona and the County of Stratford were united into one district known as the County of Stratford.

(b) By Order in Council dated 12 December 1988, the districts of the County of Stratford and the Borough of Stratford were united into one district known as The Stratford District Council as from 1 April 1989.

(c) The said Order referred to in the second recital provided that “all property real and personal vested in the corporation of the former authorities shall, subject to all existing encumbrances, be vested in the corporation of the new district”.

(d) The land was so vested and is still vested in The Stratford District Council.

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator for the Wanganui Conservancy, hereby cancels the vesting in The Stratford District Council of the site for a roadman’s cottage reserve, described in the Schedule hereto.

Classification of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Otago Conservancy, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Assistant District Manager, Department of Survey and Land Information, Hamilton, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for road and shall vest in The Hamilton City Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
