Health—Classification of Medicines
Pursuant to section 106 (1) of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby declares the medicines listed in Schedules one, two, three and four to this notice to have the classifications prescription medicine, restricted medicine, pharmacy-only medicine and general sale medicine respectively.
First Schedule
Prescription Medicines
Atovaquone.
Famciclovir.
Iodixanol.
Second Schedule
Restricted Medicine
Prochlorperazine; for buccal use in medicines which have received the Minister’s consent to their distribution as restricted medicines and which are sold in the manufacturer’s original pack containing not more than 10 tablets for the treatment of nausea associated with migraine.
Third Schedule
Pharmacy-only Medicine
Sodium cromoglycate; for nasal and ophthalmological use.
Fourth Schedule
General Sale Medicine
Potassium chloride; for oral rehydration therapy; for use in haemodialysis concentrates and peritoneal dialysis solutions.

Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992
Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of a Code of Practice Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992—The Safe Handling of Bituminous Materials Used in Roading
Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, R. J. M. Hill, General Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour, pursuant to section 40 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of intention to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in the safe handling of bituminous materials used in roading, under the Act.
These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the general operational safety provisions as to the use, storage, heating, blending and transportation of bituminous materials used in roading, and other related operations for the protection of employees and for others health and safety.
Dated at Wellington this 22nd day of August 1995.

Notice of Approval of a Statement of Preferred Work Practices Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992
Pursuant to section 20 (3) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, and whereas subsections (3) (a) and (3) (b) of section 20 of that Act have been fulfilled and complied with, I, the Minister of Labour, hereby give notice that I approve a statement of preferred work practices which is an Approved Code of Practice entitled “Approved Code of Practice for the Use of Visual Display Units in the Place of Work”.
