Waimakariri District Council

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Drainage Purposes in the District of Waimakariri

Notice is hereby given that the Waimakariri District Council proposes to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981 all that parcel of land described in the following Schedule for the purposes of a public drain pursuant to the provisions of section 247F and 442 of the Local Government Act 1974.

Reasons for Taking Land

The reasons why Waimakariri District Council consider it reasonably necessary to take the interest in the land are as follows:

A. Area B as shown on S.O. Plan 14775 is required for a drain, a public work within the meaning of the Public Works Act 1981.

B. It is intended that the work be commenced in the 1996/97 financial year.

Your Right to Object

Any person having an estate or interest in the land may forward a written objection to the Registrar, Planning Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington within 20 working days of the publication of this notice.

Canterbury Land District

Area B as shown on S.O. Plan 14775, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch, being all that parcel of land situated in the District of Rangiora containing 4503 square metres or thereabouts, being part Rural Section 370, part of the land described in deeds C370 (12D/65).

The above description refers to land between South Belt and Torlesse Streets, Rangiora.

A copy of the plan is available at the office of Messrs Helmore Bowron & Scott, 9 Good Street, Rangiora.

Dated at Rangiora this 12th day of July 1995.
