Electrical Code of Practice for Control Protection and Switchboards 1995 (NZECP 14:1995)—Notice of Intention to Seek the Approval of the Code by the Minister of Energy

On the 6th day of July 1995, acting pursuant to section 36 of the Electricity Act 1992 (‘‘the Act’’), I issued the Electrical Code of Practice for Control Protection and Switchboards 1995 (NZECP 14:1995) (‘‘the Code’’). Pursuant to section 38 (2) (a) of the Act, I give notice that I intend to apply, after 1 month from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, to the Minister of Energy for approval of that code.

It is intended that the Code be cited as a means of compliance with the obligations in the Electricity Regulations 1993 for control and protection of electrical circuits.

Comments are requested from any interested parties. Copies of the Code may be obtained from The Chief Electrical Inspector’s Office, Sixth Floor, Ministry of Commerce Building, 33 Bowen Street, Wellington (or P.O. Box 1473, Wellington).

Comments should be received at this address by the 30th day of August 1995.
