Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on Parts of State Highway No. 35 at Tirohanga at 80K/PH

Pursuant to section 61 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw:

  1. This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1995/8.

  2. This bylaw shall come into force immediately.

  3. In this bylaw “motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 80 kilometers an hour on that part of State Highway No. 35 at Tirohanga from a point (at RP 0/7.00) 90 metres west of Tirohanga Road, extending in an easterly direction along State Highway No. 35 for a distance of approximately 1.2 kilometres to a point (at RP 0/8.10) 1150 metres east of Tirohanga Road.

  5. Every person who commits an offence under this bylaw is liable upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.

This bylaw is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the East Coast Regional Conservator hereby declares the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, to be classified as a reserve for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act.

Gisborne Land District

148.32 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 8285, situated in Block III, Te Kaha Survey District. All certificate of title, Volume 5C, folio 1273.

Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator hereby changes the purpose of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (sewerage works) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

8.8600 hectares, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. 8737, situated in Block III, Opotiki Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1914, page 4268.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the East Coast Regional Conservator hereby revokes the reservation as a scenic reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Classification and Vesting of a Reserve in The Auckland Regional Council to Form Part of the Muriwai Regional Park

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator for the Auckland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve, and further, vests the said reserve in The Auckland Regional Council, in trust, to form part of the Muriwai Regional Park, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
