Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Notice of Extension of Time for Preliminary Determination: Sweetened Condensed Milk from Thailand

Background

By notice dated 21 November 1994, the Secretary of Commerce initiated an investigation to determine both the existence and effect of alleged dumping of goods specified in the Schedule to this notice.

Declaration

Pursuant to section 12 (2) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I hereby declare that by reason of—

The difficulty of obtaining satisfactory evidence in the preliminary determination may be made within 90 days of the initiation of the investigation.

Schedule

Description of Goods Subject to Investigation

Sweetened condensed milk in retail packs not exceeding 450 grams.

Country of Origin

Thailand

The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 0402.99.00.01E of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.

Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Rangiawhia Amendment Notice

Pursuant to section 155 (8) of the Education Act 1989, and to a delegation from the Minister of Education, the Group Manager Implementation, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Rangiawhia Amendment Notice 1995.

  2. The notice entitled, “Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Rangiawhia”, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 9 September 1993, No. 131, page 2680, is hereby amended by revoking clause 5 and substituting the following clause:

“5. Constitution of the Board of Trustees—The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Rangiawhia shall comprise:

a five (5) elected parent representatives
b the principal
c a staff representative
d not more than four persons co-opted by the Board”.
  1. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Board of Trustees Election

Pursuant to section 101 of the Education Act 1989, notice is given that the first election was held on the 10th day of January 1995, for the board of trustees of the following school:

Bishop Edward Gaines School, Tokoroa.

The proprietors of the said school are entering into an integration agreement with the Minister of Education pursuant to the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975. The first meeting of the board of trustees will be held on the 31st day of January 1995.
