Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992
Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of a Code of Practice Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992—Design and Safe Operation, Maintenance and Servicing of Boilers
Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, Robert J. Hill, General Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour, pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of my intention to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in the design, safe operation and maintenance of boilers as an “Approved Code of Practice”, under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe safety and health precautions that should be taken in the design, use and maintenance of boilers. The boilers to which this approved code will apply are attended, limited attendance, under 15 h.p., unattended, low hazard and unfired waste heat steam boilers. Also included are recommendations for pressurised hot water boilers.

International Air Services Licensing Act 1947
Notice of Intention to Amend an International Air Service Licence
Pursuant to the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, the State Sector Act 1988, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a sub-delegation from the Secretary for Transport:
I, John Gibson Bradbury, General Manager Air Services in the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that I intend to exercise the power conferred by section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, to amend the International Air Service Licence issued to Air New Zealand Limited to enable the airline:
(a) to operate beyond Tonga to Honolulu and/or Los Angeles; and
(b) to operate up to the equivalent of two (2) B767 services per week on the route to Tonga and beyond.
This amendment will take effect from 16 June 1995.

Traffic Regulations 1976
Approval of Brake Testing Instrument
Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, John Andrew Justice, Manager Compliance, hereby approve, for the purposes of regulation 68 (5) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the brake testing instrument of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the conditions of approval set out in the said Schedule.
Schedule
Brake-Testa Model BT1, manufactured by Circuitlink International Pty Limited of Kings Park, New South Wales, Australia.
Conditions of Approval
(1) The supplier shall provide a calibration and repair service that is readily available to the users of this brake testing instrument;
(2) Access to the brake test instrument is to be provided as required, for any person so authorised by the Director of Land Transport Safety, for the purpose of checking the accuracy of the brake testing instrument.

The Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1995 No. 1
Pursuant to the Overseas Investment Regulations 1985, the Overseas Investment Commission hereby gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(a) This notice may be cited as the Overseas Investment Exemption Notice 1995 No. 1.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Interpretation—(a) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
“Specified person” means any person which is an overseas person which would not be an overseas person if Apple Fields Limited were not an overseas person;
“The regulations” means the Overseas Investment Regulations 1985.
(b) Terms or expressions used in this notice shall have the same meaning as they have in the regulations.
