Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District Notice 1981 Amendment No. 2

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District Notice 1981 Amendment No. 2 and shall be read with and deemed part of the notice constituting the Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District made on the 21st day of August 1981 (a) (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1995.

2. Amendment of Rural Fire District—(1) The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule set out herein.

Schedule

Wellington Land District—Taupo and Rangitikei Districts—Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District

1. All those parcels containing 62 860 hectares, more or less, as shown on those plans NRFA 116 entitled Waiouru Defence Rural Fire District, deposited in the national office of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington.

Conservation

Reserves Act 1977

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 of the said Act, and further, declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Mai Mai Scenic Reserve.

Maori Affairs Act 1953

Notice Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation to be Included in an Existing Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of inclusion as part of the Maori reservation set aside on Manukau E2B1 known as the Rangikohu Marae, for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Ruia and Tuia Hapakuku.

Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993

Notice Setting Apart Land as a Maori Reservation

Notice is hereby given that by virtue of section 338 of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 and pursuant to a recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the lands described in the Schedule hereto, are hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial ground (urupa) for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Ngaitoihanga and their families. The reservation is to be known as Hikunui.
