The Maori Purposes Act (Mana Authorities) Order 1995

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At Wellington this 27th day of March 1995

Present:
Her Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 4 (1) of the Maori Purposes Act 1993, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Maori Purposes Act (Mana Authorities) Order 1995.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1995.

  2. Interpretation—In this order, expressions defined in Part I of the Maori Purposes Act 1993 have the meanings so defined.

  3. Application of sections 5 to 7 of Maori Purposes Act 1993 to certain mana authorities—Sections 5 to 7 of the Maori Purposes Act 1993 are hereby applied to the mana authorities specified in the Schedule to this order.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 April 1995, applies sections 5 to 7 of the Maori Purposes Act 1993 to 2 mana authorities.

The effect of the order is to cancel the mana contracts between the Crown and the mana authorities named in the order and to deem money paid to those mana authorities by the Crown under the mana enterprises scheme and certain other property to be the property of those mana authorities.


Transport

International Air Services Licensing Act 1947

Notice of Application for an International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that Kiwi Airlines, New Zealand of Auckland, New Zealand, has applied for an International Air Service Licence to operate scheduled services for the carriage of passengers and cargo from points in New Zealand to (1) points in Australia, and (2) Honolulu. Further details of this proposal may be obtained from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 3175, Wellington.

Any person or organisation wishing to make representations relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me on or before 20 April 1995.

Traffic Regulations 1976

Exemption from Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Michael Joseph Small, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the class of motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice, from the requirements contained within regulation 78A (a) and (c) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.
