District Courts Act 1947

Acting District Court Judges Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

Douglas John Tucker, retired District Court Judge to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of 12 months on and from the date hereof, and

Michael Frederick Hobbs, and

William John Mitchell, retired District Court Judges to be Acting District Court Judges, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction, and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part IIA of the District Courts Act 1947, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A, for a term of 12 months on and from the date hereof.

Notice Issued to the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology Pursuant to Section 8A, Foundation for Research, Science and Technology Act 1990

This notice hereby revokes the Ministerial Scheme “The Marsden Fund” with effect from 1 December 1995. Notice of the scheme was published in the New Zealand Gazette on 22 March 1995 and amended in a notice published in the New Zealand Gazette on 17 August 1995.

From 1 December 1995, The Marsden Fund will be administered by the Royal Society of New Zealand, P.O. Box 598, Wellington.

Exemption from Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Michael Joseph Small, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulation 78A (a) and (c) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.
