Foundation for Arable Research (Inc.)

The Commodity Levies (Arable Commodities) Order 1994

Pursuant to section 3 of the Commodity Levies (Arable Commodities) Order 1994, a levy has been imposed on and shall be payable by the producers of any arable commodity grown in New Zealand and sold.

In accordance with section 10 (1) of the Order, the Foundation for Arable Research has determined the rate of the levy to be:

Herbage and amenity seed – 0.6% of assessed value.
Forage brassicas – 0.1% of assessed value.
Wheat, Barley, Pulses, Oats, Rye corn, Triticale, Buckwheat, Oil seed rape, Linseed, Maize (including cribbed maize) – 0.4% of sale value.
Evening Primrose, Borage, Chinese brassicas, Phacelia, Coriander, Dill, Birdseed, Sunflower – 0.1% of sale value.

Levy for United Wheatgrowers (NZ) Limited

Pursuant to section 3 of the Wheat Producers Levy Act 1987, a levy has been imposed on and shall be payable by the producers of any wheat grown in New Zealand and sold or delivered to a flour miller, grain merchant, feed manufacturer or other purchaser of wheat.

In accordance with section 4 of the Act, United Wheatgrowers have determined the rate of levy to be $2.10 per tonne (G.S.T. exclusive).
