Report of the Commerce Commission for the Year Ended 30 June 1995

The annual report of the Commerce Commission has been published. Audit New Zealand has audited the Commission’s annual financial statements, and an unqualified audit opinion was signed on 19 October 1995.

Education and Training Support Agency

Industry Training Act 1992

New Zealand Road Transport Industry Training Organisation Inc

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, the 16th day of October 1995, the New Zealand Road Transport Industry Training Organisation Incorporated, was granted full recognition as an Industry Training Organisation for the Commercial Road Transport Industry.

It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework for the Commercial Road Transport Industry, Levels 1–8.

The ITO shall be required to consult with other interested organisations over the setting of skill standards.

New Zealand Local Government Association Inc

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, the 16th day of October 1995, the New Zealand Local Government Association Incorporated, was granted full recognition to extend its coverage as an Industry Training Organisation for the Civil Defence Industry.

It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the following areas:

Mitigation, Response, Recovery and Welfare, Levels 1–8.

The association shall be required to consult with other interested organisations over the setting of skill standards.

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, the 16th day of October 1995, the New Zealand Society of Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Incorporated, was granted full recognition to extend its coverage as an Industry Training Organisation for the:

(a) Metal Roofing and Cladding Industry:

It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the following areas:

Installation and Fixing of Metal Roofing and Cladding, Mainframe Roofing, Metal Tile Roofing and Zincalume Roofing and Cladding, Levels 1–8;

and

(b) Concrete Roof Tiling Industry:

It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the following areas:

Installation and Fixing of Concrete Roof Tiling, Levels 1–8.

The ITO shall be required to consult with other interested organisations over the setting of skill standards.

Land Transport Safety Authority

Traffic Regulations 1976

Exemption Notice

Pursuant to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and under and by way of powers delegated to me from the Acting Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 16th day of October 1995, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt vehicles detailed in documents held by the Land Transport Safety Authority which are operated by the New Zealand Defence Force Army 6, from compliance with the requirements of regulation 73 (5) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, in so far as that regulation requires the glazing in such vehicles (other than in the windscreens and the glazing attached to, or forming part of, the driver’s door and the front passenger’s door of the vehicles) to allow light transmittance at a rate greater than zero provided:

(a) the said vehicles are fitted with external mirrors on both sides; and

(b) the glazing in such vehicles as specified above in this exemption notice is otherwise made of approved safety glass.
