This day HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN was pleased to hold a Council at 11.00 of the clock a.m.

Otago Museum Trust Board Act 1955

The Otago Museum Trust Board Bill

The Otago Museum Trust Board, a board constituted under The Otago Museum Trust Board Act 1955, gives notice that it intends to apply for leave to introduce in the House of Representatives a Local Bill under the short title of “The Otago Museum Trust Board Act 1995”.

The objects of the proposed Bill are to amend the law relating to the Otago Museum Trust Board, made necessary by the reform of Local Government, by altering the constitution of the Board, better defining its functions, and making provision for the continuation of the work of the institution and for the finances and administration of the Board.

The promoter of the Bill is the Otago Museum Trust Board.

Communication or notices to the promoter may be sent to the Board’s solicitors, Messrs Albert Alloo & Sons, Solicitors, Fourth Floor, Capitol Building, 67 Princes Street (P.O. Box 292), Dunedin.

A copy of the Bill may be inspected in accordance with Standing Order 249 of the House of Representatives during office hours at:

(a) The Dunedin District Court, 41 Stuart Street, Dunedin.

(b) The Otago Museum Public Foyer, 419 Great King Street, Dunedin.

(c) The Dunedin City Council, Civic Centre, 50 The Octagon, Dunedin.

Notice of Intention to Apply for Leave to Introduce Bill—Farmers’ Mutual Group Bill 1995

Take notice that the Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Association intends to promote a private Bill, the objects of which are:

(a) To reconstitute Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Association, at present an association incorporated under the Mutual Insurance Act 1955, as a company under the Companies Act 1993 with the name “Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Limited”; and

(b) To provide for a company to be incorporated under that Act with the name “Farmers’ Mutual Group Limited” to be its holding company; and

(c) To modify the application of that Act to the holding company.

The Bill varies the application of the Companies Act 1993 to the holding company contemplated by the Bill. If certain amendments are made to the Co-operative Companies Bill at present before the House, the holding company may register under that legislation and the Farmers’ Mutual Group Bill would be amended accordingly.

The promoter of the Bill is the Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Association whose address to which communications or notices concerning the Bill may be sent is the Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Association, P.O. Box 1943, Palmerston North.

A copy of the Bill may be inspected during office hours in
