Acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council Her Majesty:

At the instance of the Minister of Health approved an Order in Council making the Nurses Regulations 1986, Amendment No. 5:

At the instance of the Minister of Internal Affairs approved an Order in Council making the Building Industry Authority Levy Order 1995:

At the instance of the Minister of Social Welfare approved an Order in Council making the Social Welfare (Reciprocity with Australia) Amendment Order 1995:

At the instance of the Minister of Consumer Affairs approved an Order in Council making the Consumer Information Standards (Fibre Content Labelling) Regulations 1992, Amendment No. 1:

At the conclusion of the formal business of the Council Her Majesty was graciously pleased:

On the advice of the Prime Minister to sign a Warrant instituting and creating a Medal designated “The New Zealand Service Medal 1946–49” and making, ordaining, and establishing rules and ordinances for the governance of the same:

On the advice of the Prime Minister, pursuant to the Royal Warrant dated 7 May 1992 instituting and creating the New Zealand General Service Medal, to sign the New Zealand General Service Medal (Mozambique) Regulations 1995: and the New Zealand General Service Medal (Cambodia) Regulations 1995:

On the advice of the Prime Minister to confer The New Zealand Armed Forces Award on Dame Catherine Anne Tizard, G.C.M.G., D.B.E., Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over New Zealand:

On the advice of the Minister of Commerce to sign a Declaration, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Patents Act 1953 and section 10 (2) of the Designs Act 1953, declaring the 1996 Royal Easter Show, to be held at the Auckland Showgrounds, 217 Greenlane Road, Auckland, New Zealand, in April 1996, to be an Industrial Exhibition:

The Queen was also graciously please to accept:

From the Prime Minister a sample of the New Zealand America’s Cup Medallion.

Also, on behalf of New Zealand Post Ltd, an album of postage stamps.
