WELLINGTON: THURSDAY, 2 NOVEMBER 1995 β€” ISSUE NO. 128

Notifying Issue of Writs, Date of Polling, etc.

PURSUANT to a Warrant under the hand of Her Excellency the Governor-General, signed on the 31st day of October 1995 directed to the Clerk of the Writs, I have this day issued writs to all Returning Officers authorising them to proceed to hold an indicative referendum on the following question, namely,

Should the number of professional firefighters employed full-time in the New Zealand Fire Service be reduced below the number employed on 1 January 1995?

The indicative referendum shall be taken on Saturday, the 2nd day of December 1995 and the writs shall be returned to me on or before Friday, the 22nd day of December 1995.
