Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978

Application to Import Marine Mammal Product

Pursuant to sections 4 and 5 of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, Dame Te Atairangikaahu of Ngāruawāhia, has applied to the Minister of Conservation for a permit to import a marine mammal product, namely a dolphin tooth necklace gifted to her during a recent visit to the Solomon Islands.

Any persons wishing to make submissions on this application should write to the Director, Species Protection Division, Department of Conservation, to be received no later than 28 days after the publication of this notice.
