Privacy Act Code of Practice Notice 1995/2

Pursuant to section 49 of the Privacy Act 1993, I give notice as follows:

N o t i c e

  1. This notice may be cited as the Privacy Act Code of Practice Notice 1995/2.

  2. The Superannuation Schemes Unique Identifier Code 1995:

    (a) was issued on 18 October 1995; and

    (b) will come into force on 1 December 1995.

  3. Copies of the code are available for inspection free of charge at the offices of the Privacy Commissioner, 20 Waterloo Quadrant, Auckland and 44β€”52 The Terrace, Wellington.

  4. Copies of the code are available for purchase from offices of the Privacy Commissioner and from Bennetts Government Bookshops.

Survey Board of New Zealand

Survey Act 1986

Disciplinary Order

Pursuant to section 56 of the Survey Act 1986, notice is hereby given that on 16 August 1995, the Survey Board of New Zealand, ordered that Mervyn James Shand, registered surveyor of Levin, be censured and that the said Mervyn James Shand be fined the sum of $1,000.00 and that the said Mervyn James Shand pay to the Survey Board of New Zealand the sum of $2,000.00 plus G.S.T. towards the costs and expenses of and incidental to the hearing by the board, and further ordered that a notice stating the effect of the order be published in the New Zealand Gazette, and the Survey Quarterly, a publication of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors.

Land Transport Safety Authority

Traffic Regulations 1976

Approval of Brake Testing Instrument

Pursuant to regulation 88 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and acting by and under the authority sub-delegated to me from the Land Transport Safety Authority by way of instrument of sub-delegation 21 July 1995, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby approve, for the purposes of regulation 68 (5) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, the brake testing instrument of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the conditions of approval set out in the Schedule hereto.

Schedule

Vericom Brake Testing Computer Models VC 2000 and VC 2000PC, manufactured by Vericom Computers, Inc of Minnetonka, Minnesota, United States of America.

Conditions of Approval

  1. The supplier shall provide a calibration and repair service that is readily available to the users of this brake testing instrument.

  2. The supplier shall allow any person authorised by the Director of Land Transport Safety access to the brake testing instrument as required, for the purpose of checking the accuracy of the brake testing instrument.

Exemption from Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Michael Joseph Small, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the class of motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulation 78A (a) and (c) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.
