Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land

Pursuant to Section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981

Dawsons Landing, Snells Beach

Notice is hereby given that The Rodney District Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1981, intends to take part of the land described in the Schedule hereto for road, to upgrade the boat ramp known as Dawsons Landing and to extend the associated carparking area.

Notice was given under section 18 of the Public Works Act 1981 on 16 March 1994 and a plan showing the proposed land take was attached to that notice:

The taking is considered necessary for the following reasons:

  1. To upgrade the boat ramp known as Dawsons Landing as an important amenity in the area;
  2. To provide access to the boat ramp for public use;
  3. To provide carparking and a picnic area for the public to be used in conjunction with the boat ramp.

Any person having an interest or estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto may within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice send an objection to the Registrar, Planning Tribunal, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, Private Bag, Wellington. If any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Schedule

2.0917 hectares, more or less, being Lot 2, Deposited Plan 30365 and being part of Allotment 16, Parish of Mahurangi and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title 1385/86, subject to: Fencing agreement in transfer 653327 and mortgage C283394.4.

A copy of the plan of the land take may be viewed in the offices of The Rodney District Council, Centreway Road, Orewa.

Special Order—Parks & Reserve Loan No. 28

1994, $1,000,000

The following special order was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Auckland Regional Council held on 14 November 1994 and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said council held on 12 December 1994, having meantime been advertised in the New Zealand Herald on 16 November 1994 and 30 November 1994:

That the Auckland Regional Council in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Government Authority Act 1974, section 619, and in pursuance of authority conferred upon it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it on that behalf, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, by special resolution to act as a special order to borrow the sum of $1,000,000 (one million dollars) as a special loan to be known as Parks & Reserves Loan No. 28 1994, $1,000,000 for the purpose of acquiring video display equipment for the Mount Smart Stadium.
