Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992

Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of a Code of Practice Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992

Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, R. J. M. Hill, General Manager, Occupational and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour pursuant to section 40 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of intention to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in operation of Cranes and Lifting appliances as an “Approved Code of Practice”, under the Act.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the general operational safety provisions as to the selection, setting up, erection, load movement and communication methods and other related operations for the protection of employees and for others health and safety.

Under section 12 (1) of the Adult Adoption Information Act 1985, the Minister of Social Welfare has appointed

as an independent counsellor.

This appointment permits the above-named to provide counselling services to adopted people under sections 3 (2) (a), 5 (2) (a) (i), 6 (a) (i) and 7 (2) (a) of the Adult Adoption Information Act 1985. This appointment is effective from 15 December 1994.

Pursuant to the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, the State Sector Act 1988, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, John Gibson Bradbury, General Manager Air Services, give the following notice:

Notice is hereby given that I intend to exercise the power conferred by section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, to amend the terms of the International Air Service Licence issued to Korean Air to allow the airline to operate up to the equivalent of three (3) B747 services per week, with effect from 3 February 1995.
