Conservation

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Recreation Reserve

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes and pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, the Minister of Conservation further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter Act.

33.8468 hectares, being part Reserve 4058, all Crown land under the Land Act 1948. S.O. 5813.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Manager, Protection, Auckland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a local purpose (cemetery) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Otago Conservancy, hereby revokes the reservation as a local purpose (gravel) reserve of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Change of Classification of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, from recreation reserve to local purpose (playcentre site) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Tongariro/Taupo Regional Conservator of the Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto, shall hereafter be known as the Gardiners Scenic Reserve.
