Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 1994 (No. 5367)

Pursuant to section 28w (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries, after consultation with the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board and the Southern Scallop Advisory Committee hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 1994.

(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the Gazette.

  1. Exemption to quota aggregation limit—(1) As from the date that this notice comes into effect, the Challenger Scallop Enhancement Company Ltd is permitted to hold quota and interest in quota in excess of the 20 percent aggregation limit as provided in section 28zw (1) of the Fisheries Act 1983 for the Southern Scallop Fishery, up to an aggregation limit of 23 percent.

(2) This consent is valid for a period of 12 months from the date that this notice comes into effect.
