Dangerous Goods Act 1974

Approval of Pumps for Re-Selling Dangerous Goods of Class 3 (a)

Pursuant to section 30 of the Dangerous Goods Act 1974 and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Chief Inspector of Dangerous Goods, I, Kim Jon Comben, Acting Chief Advisor, Dangerous Goods, hereby approve, subject to the conditions set out hereunder, the pumps listed in the Schedule hereto, for delivery of motor spirits from underground tanks.

Schedule

Motor Spirit Pump Approval

Compac Hiline Series; Model number NHD2A, MHD4, MHD4A, MHD6, MHD6A, MHP2A, MHP4, MHP4A, MHP6, MHP6A, MHQP4, MHQP4A, MHQD4 and MHQD4A.

Conditions

  1. A plate bearing Lab 3083, the dispenser model number and company name “Compac Industries Limited” is to be securely attached in a readily visible position on the exterior of the dispenser cabinet.
  2. Flexible hoses shall have electrical continuity.
  3. The metering equipment must comply with Trade Measurement Unit, Ministry of Commerce requirements.
  4. Nozzles must automatically trip shut when there is no flow through them or a bracket is fitted to the nozzle so that the nozzle will trip shut whenever it is returned to the nozzle holder.

Notice of Approval of a Statement of Preferred Work Practices Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992

Pursuant to section 20 (3) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, and whereas subsections (3) (a) and (3) (b) of section 20 of that Act have been fulfilled and complied with, the Minister of Labour hereby gives notice that he approves a statement of preferred work practices which is an Approved Code of Practice for Safety and Health in Tree Work—Part 1—Arboriculture.
