Return of the Governor-General From Overseas
Her Excellency the Governor-General, Dame Catherine Tizard, G.C.M.G., D.B.E., returned to Auckland at 1 a.m. on Monday, 4 July 1994, following a private visit to Fiji. Her Excellency has now resumed the performance of all the functions of the office of Governor-General. Accordingly, the Right Honourable Sir Thomas Eichelbaum, G.B.E., has relinquished the office of the Administrator of the Government.
