Declaration that Land is Reserve and Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Acting Regional Conservator, Auckland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by The Franklin District Council on the 26th day of October 1993:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Franklin District Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said district in fee simple and described in the First Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a scenic reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

Furthermore, the Acting Regional Conservator hereby classifies the reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, for the purposes specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
