Education Act 1989

Change to the Constitution of the Hawke’s Bay Polytechnic

Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989, I, Alexander Lockwood Smith, Minister of Education, upon the recommendation of the Council of the Hawke’s Bay Polytechnic, and being satisfied that the proposed amendment to the constitution of that council complies with the requirements of section 171 of that Act, hereby give the following notice.

N o t i c e

  1. This notice may be cited as the Hawke’s Bay Polytechnic Council Constitution Amendment Notice 1994.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. The constitution of the Council of the Hawke’s Bay Polytechnic is hereby amended by omitting the item “one member appointed by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council”, and substituting the item “one member jointly appointed by the territorial local authorities in Hawke’s Bay”.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990

Cancellation of a Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary of Education, I hereby cancel the licence, dated the 22nd day of October 1992, which was granted under those regulations to Karen Radford in respect of Montessori Preschool 2, Rata/Fernlea Classrooms, Camrose Grove, Kingston, Wellington. The centre has re-established in Fernlea and Kohai Classrooms.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Classification of Medicines

Pursuant to section 106 (1) of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby declares the medicines listed in Schedules one, two, three and four to this notice to have the classifications prescription medicine, restricted medicine, pharmacy-only medicine and general sale medicine respectively.

Aminophylline; except in liquid form for oral use

Amorolfine hydrochloride

Anabolic steroids; either natural or synthetic

Anaesthetics; local; in medicines for ophthalmic use
