Education Act 1989

Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Oparure Amendment Notice 1994

Pursuant to sections 155 (8) (b) of the Education Act 1989, and to a delegation from the Minister of Education dated 22 October 1992, the Group Manager Implementation, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Oparure Amendment Notice 1994.
  2. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
  3. The notice entitled Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Oparure, published in the New Zealand Gazette on 18 July 1991, No. 107, page 2368, is hereby amended by omitting clause 5, and substituting the following clause:

"5 Constitution of the Board of Trustees—The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Oparure shall comprise:

(a) 5 elected care-giver representatives; and
(b) The tumuaki (principal); and
(c) A staff representative; and
(d) Not more than 4 persons co-opted by the Board."

Qualifications Recognised by the Secretary for Education for the Purpose of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 40 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of July 1991, No. 110, pages 2430–2431.

The Secretary for Education hereby recognises for the purpose of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990:

Cancellation of a Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary of Education, I hereby cancel the licence, dated the 4th day of February 1994, which was granted under those regulations to Tangiharewa Helmbright in respect of Te Huinga O Te Ao, Kutarere Marae, Kutarere.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary of Education, I hereby cancel the licence, dated the 4th day of February 1994, which was granted under those regulations to Eva Aramoana in respect of Roimata Kohanga Reo, Roimata Marae, Opotiki.
