Notification of Determination of the Precise Question at an Indicative Referendum

Pursuant to section 13 of the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, I hereby give notice:

That the Royal New Zealand Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Incorporated—

Has been approved to use, for the purposes of an indicative referendum petition, the wording determined in the paragraph below;

Is the promoter of the indicative referendum petition;

in which the wording determined in the paragraph below is to be used:

Has been approved to use a form for the purposes of the indicative referendum petition; and

That the wording of the specific question to be put to voters in the proposed indicative referendum is—

“Should the production of eggs from battery hens be prohibited within five years of the referendum?”

Business Development Boards Act 1991

Code for Business Development Boards 1993

(No. 2), Amendment No. 2

Pursuant to section 7 (3) (a) of the Business Development Boards Act 1991, the Minister of Business Development hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Code for Business Development Boards 1993 (No. 2), Amendment No. 2, and shall be read with and deemed part of the Code for Business Development Boards 1993 (No. 2)* (hereinafter referred to as the principal code).

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day of April 1994.

  1. Amendment to Schedule to principal code—Paragraph 12 of the Schedule to the principal code is hereby amended by inserting after the word “Board,” the following sentence: “The Minister may, in writing, instruct the Boards to suspend the approval of any or all grants under any relevant scheme or schemes if the Minister is satisfied that such action is necessary to avoid the current financial year’s appropriation for the Business Development Programme schemes being exceeded.”

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Termination of Dumping Investigation: Men’s Woven Business Shirts From China and Hong Kong

Pursuant to section 11 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, acting under delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce, I hereby give notice of the termination of the dumping investigation in respect of a dumping complaint lodged by the New Zealand industry producing men’s woven business shirts against imports of men’s woven business shirts from China and Hong Kong, as described in the Notice of Initiation of Dumping Investigation of 31 January 1994 (New Zealand Gazette, 3 February 1994, page 633).

I am satisfied, as a result of investigations carried out, that the goods from China and Hong Kong which were under investigation are not goods in respect of which a
