Income Tax Act 1976

Determination of Tax Depreciation Rates

Pursuant to section 108M of the Income Tax Act 1976, notice is hereby given that the basic economic depreciation rate for fences has been determined, pursuant to section 108C of the Income Tax Act 1976. The determination may be cited as “Determination DEP5: Tax Depreciation Rates General Determination Number 5” and is available from Inland Revenue offices.

Traffic Regulations 1976

Exemption of Certain Vehicles From the Height for Direction Indicator Lamps

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, by an instrument of delegation dated the 20th day of August 1993, I, Peter William Bowen, Senior Automotive Engineer, hereby exempt the vehicle models listed in the First Schedule from the requirements of regulation 63 (4) (a) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, in respect of the maximum height of 1.5 metres that the side mounted repeating direction indicating lamps may be mounted above the ground.

First Schedule

Any International 3600 Series and 4700 Series Truck.

Repayment of Retail Government Debt

Notice of the Government’s decision to repay retail debt pursuant to the prospectus under which the debt was issued.

Pursuant to the various prospecti under which the Government issued retail debt known as Our New Zealand Bonds, Kiwi Savings Stock and Inflation Adjusted Savings Bonds, the Minister of Finance gives 1 month’s notice of his decision to repay this debt after 25 April 1994.

Income Tax 1976

Notice Advising of a Change in the Rate of Interest Applicable to Tax in Dispute—Pursuant to Section 34A (8) of the Income Tax Act 1976

Notice is hereby given in pursuance of the Income Tax Act 1976, that the rate of interest applicable to tax in dispute will be changed from the current 10% to a lower rate of 7% from 1 April 1994. This change reflects the downward trend in interest rates since the last adjustment in 1992.
