"telecommunication links", and "telephone stations" have corresponding meanings.
- Approval as requiring authority—(1) Telecom New Zealand International Limited is hereby approved as a requiring authority under section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991 in respect of the particular network utility operation described in subclause (2) of this clause.
(2) The particular network utility operation in respect of which this approval is given is Telecom New Zealand International Limited’s network utility operation comprising lines, radio apparatus, telecommunication links, telephone stations, and works to permit telecommunication and radiocommunication; and includes the network within the meaning of section 2 (1) of the Telecommunication Act 1987 of which Telecom New Zealand International Limited is the network operator under that Act.

Note 1.
The effect of this declaration is that no person may, without the written consent of an authorised Forestry Officer, and subject to such conditions as he or she thinks fit, remove, or bring or cause to be removed or brought, any forest produce of the Ulmus and Zelkova species (Elm family) from or into the area described in the Schedule, or likewise move that forest produce from one place to another within that area. Any person wishing to make an inquiry about moving produce from an Elm tree into, out of, or within the greater Auckland area, should contact the Ministry of Forestry, Port of Auckland.
This declaration takes effect upon its first publication in newspapers circulating in the infected area.
Note 2.
Forest Produce, means anything that may be affected by the specified forest disease; and includes plants, trees, tree seed, firewood, timber, forests, forest products, buildings, and other structures and extends to portions or fragments thereof.
Note 3.
This declaration replaces the declaration published in the New Zealand Herald on the 19th, 20th and 21st days of January 1990, which did not restrict the movement of elm seedlings.
Upon first publication of this declaration, movement of elm seedlings into, out of, or within the Infected Area is restricted (see Note 1).

Declaration of Infected Area
Pursuant to regulations 4 and 7 of the Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967 and to a delegation from the Secretary of Forestry, I, Ross Brooker Morgan, an authorised forestry officer, acting with the approval of the Minister of Forestry, hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto, to be an infected area in respect of the disease Scolytus multistriatus in association with Ophiostoma novo-ulmi (commonly known as Dutch Elm Disease), which attacks the Ulmus and Zelkova species (Elm family) and hereby revoke the Declaration of Infected Area dated 18 January 1990, which was published in the New Zealand Herald on the 19th, 20th and 21st days of January 1990.
