Notice of Review of Need For Continued Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty on Certain Non-Leather Women’s Footwear from China
I hereby give notice that, pursuant to section 14 (5) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I have initiated a review of the need for the continued imposition of anti-dumping duty on the goods described in the Schedule to this notice. The duty was imposed by me in a notice dated 7 September 1992, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 10 September 1992.

Description of Goods
Women’s footwear with outer soles and uppers of rubber or plastic* but EXCLUDING:
- Women’s and girls’ shoes size 4 and below;
- Waterproof footwear;
- Sports footwear including footwear which has the appearance of footwear designed for sports use;
- Footwear with upper straps or thongs assembled to the sole by means of plugs;
- Footwear covering the ankle;
- Footwear incorporating a protective metal toe cap;
- Footwear with outer soles and uppers moulded in one piece from PVC or another plastic material or from rubber; and
- Slippers.
*The expression “rubber or plastic” includes any textile material visibly coated or covered externally with one or both of those materials.
The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 6402.00.19.09F of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.

I hereby give notice that, pursuant to section 14 (5) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I have initiated a review of the need for the continued imposition of anti-dumping duty on the goods described in the Schedule to this notice. The duty was imposed by me in a notice dated 27 November 1992, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 3 December 1992, and amended in a notice given by me dated 3 July 1994, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 14 July 1994.
