Dissolution of Board of Trustees and Appointment of a Commissioner
Pursuant to section 106 (1) (aa) of the Education Act 1989, for the reason that so many casual vacancies have arisen that there is no longer any member of the board who is eligible to preside at meetings of the board, I hereby dissolve the Kawhia School Board of Trustees and appoint Mr Hugh Baxter as Commissioner to act in its place.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990
Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre
Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under the authority delegated by the Secretary of Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 2 December 1992, which was granted under those regulations to SFax Metera in respect of Te Kaahui Te Kohanga Reo, 155 Clyde Street, Island Bay.
The centre has reverted to a developing kohanga and is re-establishing on a new site, as from the 22 November 1994.
This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Revocation of Prohibition on the Prescribing of Medicines
Pursuant to section 48 (3) of the Medicines Act 1981, I, Maurice Donald Williamson, Associate Minister of Health, on the recommendation of the Medical Council of New Zealand, hereby revoke the notice, referred to in the First Schedule hereto, prohibiting Matthew John Brick, medical practitioner of Tauranga, from prescribing benzodiazepine medicines.

Pursuant to section 23 (3) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, I, Maurice Donald Williamson, Associate Minister of Health, on the recommendation of the Medical Council of New Zealand, hereby revoke the notice, referred to in the First Schedule hereto, prohibiting Matthew John Brick, medical practitioner of Tauranga, from prescribing controlled drugs.

Determination of Tax Depreciation Rates
Pursuant to section 108M of the Income Tax Act 1976, notice is hereby given that a determination has been issued for medical equipment of the Crown Health Enterprises for the 1993–94 income year, where the assets are acquired on or after 1 July 1993 and on or before 30 June 1994, pursuant to section 1081(1)(b) of the Income Tax Act 1976. The determination may be cited as “Determination of Provisional Tax Depreciation Rates for Crown Health Enterprises for the 1993–94 income year”. The determination is available from Inland Revenue Offices.

Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977
Permission to Conduct Within New Zealand a Lottery Promoted Outside New Zealand
Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Warren Cooper, the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit GEC Pty Limited, Australia, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme for that company’s range of electronic components.

Conditions
The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:
(1) The lottery shall not be conducted within New Zealand after 8 December 1994.
(2) The results of the lottery shall be published in the January edition of the GEC customer bulletin known as News Flash.
(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any disadvantage as a result of winning a prize.
(4) A New Zealand participant shall have a chance of winning which is equivalent to that of an overseas participant.
