Suggested solution The Chatham Islands should be kept in a Christchurch electorate. No grounds given.

Objects to the inclusion of the Chatham Islands in the Rongotai electorate on the grounds that the community of interest and facility of communications and health links are with Napier. A poll conducted indicated a major preference for a shift from Lyttelton to Napier

Suggested solution The Chatham Islands be placed in the Napier electorate.

Objects to the proposed boundaries of the Rongotai and Wellington electorates which splits the suburb of Brooklyn between the electorates. Brooklyn is a homogeneous areas which identifies with the city not Kilbirnie/Miramar.

Suggested solution The whole of Brooklyn should be placed in the Wellington electorate.
